Dave and Busters
There are not many noises that can rival the excitement and anticipation of gaming created by a slot machine. But on a rainy, quiet, weekday night, the games of Dave and Busters hit the mark.
The video game room is filled with shoot ‘em up, race ‘em, and win ticket machines for all ages. Head on over to play pool, air hockey, or bowling if that’s what you like instead.
Hungry? They have a menu that should satisfy most people. I won’t start boasting 5 star dining, but it tastes good and it fills the stomach so that gaming can start up again. The food is especially good for those who get the munchies.
Prefer to watch sports on TV? They have many large flat screens throughout the entire place to catch all that is going on. Your biggest problem is going to be deciding whether to concentrate on the TV or the gaming.
Many may complain about the costs, but they do have fair prices compared to other establishments. Whether you want to compare to a bowling alley, movie theater, or various different mid-grade chain restaurants that is up to you. I did not find the costs prohibitive and you can even get a special “Eat and Play Combo” ($15.99) for a main dish and $10 worth of gaming.
Most ticket collectors, above the age of 13, won’t rejoice at the selection of toys and items available redeemable for the tickets. But, I never would expect for my one outing, to be able to redeem my tickets for a free X Box 360 video game. As a precision procrastinator, I grabbed a deck of playing cards and a kazoo. Both can lead to hours of procrastinating enjoyment. Especially the kazoo
Dave and Busters is not perfect. I wish there were more arcade games. The majority of the games, if not at least 50%, seamed to be to try and win tickets. But, even if they had extra arcade games, it would just sweeten the pot. I was able to have an affordable time for over 3 hours with decent food, great gaming, great company, and great atmosphere.
